First and foremost, your motivation should address the persons state of “Fit and Proper”. Most motivations do not address this sufficiently. After this item has been addressed, should you concentrate on motivating the need and use of the firearm. Writing a motivation is a critical factor for a successful application, and for most firearm owners, it can be a frustrating and daunting process.
